JDS Labs assumes the following responsibilities:

  • Protecting all data generated by and provided to us by our users from being stolen, compromised, or used in violation with this policy.
  • Never selling user-provided and user-generated data.
  • Providing transparency for our users into what data we collect and how collected data is utilized and/or shared.
  • Informing users if their data is compromised.

If you place an order with JDS Labs, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, and credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

If you browse jdslabs.com, with or without placing an order, we know for a limited time that a user at your IP address has visited pages on our site.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

    We ship worldwide through third parties: DHL, FedEx, UPS, and the United States Postal Service (via a service called Endicia). We pass delivery addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and invoices to these companies to the extent required for successful delivery of your order. JDS Labs complies with United States export regulations and authorities.

Account and Personal Information

JDS Labs does not utilize customer accounts. We only store your order data, including items ordered, name, mailing and billing addresses, and email addresses. Your information is used to fulfill your order, verify payment authenticity, and provide support and warranty service. We follow industry best practices for server security, encryption, and limiting of access to authorized users. After your order has been fulfilled, we will remove your personal information upon request.

Payment Providers

All supplied credit card information is transmitted via SSL directly to our third-party payment gateway, Braintree.com, in order to maintain PCI DSS compliance. Credit card data such as cardholder name, credit card number, expiration date, and CVV code are never sent to a JDS Labs server. We only store secure tokens representing your payment method.

PayPal is offered as a payment method. When using PayPal at jdslabs.com, you must provide your PayPal email address. You will be directed to paypal.com to complete your order, and then optionally returned to jdslabs.com.

Access Logging

In order to understand traffic to our sites and diagnose technical problems, we log individual web requests. These logs include time of request, individual IP address, referrer, and user agent strings. We may retain these logs for up to 60 days.

In order to prevent fraud and detect malicious behavior, we log IP addresses for specific actions, such as placing on order or submitting a support request.

Except in the case of malicious traffic, we will not share log data with any third party, unless compelled by legal process to do so.

Cookies, Tags, Tracking Pixels, HTTPS, and Analytics

We use cookies, tags, and tracking pixels to know when users are browsing jdslabs.com and to collect data on what product pages and content you browse, in order to observe business metrics including bounce rate and conversion rate. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies, tags, and tracking pixels on our site for occasional retargeting ads on other sites you may visit. You may opt out of ads by visiting the Google info link and content network privacy policy.

We also utilize Google Analytics and Google Adwords to track how many unique visitors jdslabs.com receives, where they come from, how they navigate our site, and whether anonymouse visitors clicked a paid advertisement. We maintain accounts on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, GitHub, and YouTube. We strive to adhere to the jdslabs.com privacy policy through outside platforms.

We do not utilize third-party social media badges or widgets which function as trackers.

Outside Parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
